Happiness Is...

Happiness Is...   How would you complete that sentence?

Is it warm towels out of the dryer?  The smile on your child's face when you give them a hug.  Seeing someone you love accomplish something important to them.  Wanting what you have.  A sunset.  A beach.  A safe place to sleep.  Food on your table.  Family.  Laughter.  A job.  A warm day.  A cold day.  Getting over a cold.  Taking a yoga class.  Catching up with a friend over coffee.  Catching up with a friend over wine.  Waking up feeling good for no specific reason.  Eating something healthy.  A good workout.  Laughing until you cry.  Seeing a good movie.  Celebrating an old tradition.  Starting a new tradition.  Hearing your grandmother pass down a story of your family.   Getting good news.  Walking your dog.  Coming home to your dog.  Snuggling up to a movie at home.  Hot chocolate.  A cat who knows when you need a buddy to sit next to you in silence.  A smile from a stranger.  A phone call from you mom.  An unexpected 'I love you' in your day.  Hearing your favorite song.    Taking a trip with your family.  Taking a trip with your friends.  Taking a trip by yourself.  Meeting someone new. Your favorite pair of jeans.  A new pair of shoes. Receiving flowers for no reason.  Giving flowers for no reason.  Seeing someone you love smile.  Taking time for you.  Trying a new adventure.  Trying a new food.  Trying a new wine.  Inviting friends over for game night.  Sitting in silence with your best friend.  Talking for hours with your best friend.

What is happiness to you?  I challenge you to sit down and write down the start of the sentence:  'Happiness Is...' and let your stream of consciousness start talking.  Write for as long as you have random ideas pop into your mind.  Once you are finished, read your words.  Then read them again.  Post them so others can see. Spread your happiness to others.  After all - when you see someone who is happy, doesn't it make you feel happy?

Go on now, live a happy moment right now.  Start by smiling.  Then begin your adventure today by defining what happiness is to you.
