Get Out Your Old Yearbook

Have you ever randomly had someone from your past cross your mind - in the middle of a normal day -  for no apparent reason?  Perhaps someone from high school... someone from college...   You made a mental note to look them up when you had time later in the day - only to forget... and put them in the back of your memory until they randomly pop up in your mind again?

Today, pull out an old yearbook, an old scrapbook, an old directory from high school, college, grad school - whenever.  Whatever book you uncover first... hold it in your lap, close your eyes and open the pages and point down to someone's picture and name.  If you look at an online list of classmates, close your eyes and point your finger to the screen - open your eyes to see who's name you selected.

Go reach out to that person - find them on Facebook, look them up in your alumni network or even contact your school and ask if they have an email address on file.  Reach out to them... let them know that they crossed your mind and you just wanted to know how they are... it's another form of a random act of kindness, but one that may just have you reconnect with someone for a reason you don't understand yet...

I reached out to someone who's name came to mind from the 2nd grade.  I found him on Facebook - and it brought me such joy to hear about the last 30 years of his life!  I wish you the same treasure to find!
